Drama at ACS!!
So here I am at ACS…supposed to be working and I can’t seem to keep my mind on work. There really isn’t that much for us to do around here anyway. Sometimes I just sit here and watch these people walking around doing nothing all day long. Its pretty ridiculous the amount of money that these people are getting to just walk around all day long and to take cigarette breaks whenever they get tired of walking around. Then of course there’s the drama. Everyone around here has something to say about someone. I thought Citibank was bad…but it has nothing on these people. Its like they have no lives so they feel the need to consume their lives with gossip about other people. Its truly ridiculous. I have done the best I can to stay out of it. I don’t want any part of their nonsense. My mom always said that once you get involved in that crap you get a reputation and then there’s no turning back. I just can’t wait though…for January 16th to come around. That will be the end of our contract and then Im done here with all of this nonsense. I did apply for another job over in Junction City. It seems pretty interesting and the closing date for that one in December 12th so all of you pray for me so that I can get the heck out of this place. Geez...I sound bitter don't I??

Our Family

This is our family. Anthony is already pushing 30...eek. He is stressing because his birthday is coming up on January 5th. Such an old man. : ) He is in the Army and is attached to 4th Bde, 1/28 Black Lions. Our daughter Abigayle is 8. She is in the 3rd grade and thinks she knows it all...believe it or not. Im 27 and feeling every minute of that. I work for ACS (Army Community Service) as of right now. Our contract is up on January 18th. Im hoping to have something else lined up before then. Things are in the works so pray for me. : )
First Blog
Well I just learned about this blogging thing yesterday at my friend Celeste's house, and I was interested to see what it was all about...so here goes. Im a 27 year old Army wife and mother of 1. Anthony is going on his fourth year in the Army. Our daughter Abigayle is 8 going on 28, most of you other mothers understand what I mean by that. We recently moved to Fort Riley Kansas and my husband is now a part of 4th Brigade 1/28 Black Lions.
I must say that moving to Fort Riley has definitely been a huge change for us. My dad was in the Navy so Im used to moving around alot, but this time was different. This is my first time actually moving away from home and not having any type of family around. So as you can guess it was a pretty big shock to me. Im still trying to get acclimated to the situation. Luckily I have been able to make some friends here and there. But needless to say I miss home...LOTS! No place is like Texas. : )
