Last night was pop's birthday. We had yummy enchiladas for dinner and chocolate cake for dinner. Now you know that I was all over that mexican food...lol It had been so long since I had good Mexican food... :) The chocolate cake on the other hand was a different story. Im not a fan...so I just stuck to having a scoop of the ice cream.
This morning Im off to BAMC to deal with the people at Tricare and have our insurance switched down here. Wish me luck!

First day of school
We drove down from Kansas a few days ago and now we are back at my parent’s house. I must say that it is different going from having two other people in the house to having 4 other people in the house…but for those of you who know me know that Im loving every minute of it. I love being in a house full of people. Being back here in San Antonio has been great…but of course you know Im missing my hubby.
Abigayle started school today. Its hard for me to believe that she is already in the 4th grade. It seems like just yesterday that she was just learning how to crawl….but I guess that if you’re a parent you understand what it is that Im talking about. She is 9 going on 29...and I just wish that sometimes time would slow down so that I could enjoy her a little more. I have to admit that today around 11:30 I was missing her like crazy. I had gotten so used to having her around all day every day that when she had to go to school today I missed her lots. But today we found out that she is in Mr. Sellers’ class. That is the same teacher that she had in the 2nd grade…and of course that is the teacher that she has had a crush on since we left. So as you can guess she had a huge smile on her face when she found out that she was going to be in his class again.
We just got her registered for tumbling again at Flip City. Today was her first class and you can tell she is a bit out of shape…but she is doing really well. She is working on getting her double back handspring back and from the looks of things that’s probably going to happen really soon. She has a natural talent for this kind of thing and I think she is gonna go all the way with this. She wants to be a UT cheerleader….so I guess we will see what happens.

Our Family

First Blog
I must say that moving to Fort Riley has definitely been a huge change for us. My dad was in the Navy so Im used to moving around alot, but this time was different. This is my first time actually moving away from home and not having any type of family around. So as you can guess it was a pretty big shock to me. Im still trying to get acclimated to the situation. Luckily I have been able to make some friends here and there. But needless to say I miss home...LOTS! No place is like Texas. : )
